The 1795 Half Cent is part of a series of Liberty Cap, Head Facing Right coins struck from 1794-1797. The specific variety is No Pole, Plain Edge. Struck in Philadelphia and designated as a Business (MS) strike, this coin is made of Copper from a mintage of 139,690 struck.
Obverse: Lady Liberty portrayed, facing right, without the pole that appears on other issues of this series. There is cap behind Liberty's head. The words LIBERTY across the top periphery and the date at the bottom.
Reverse: The words UNITED STATES OF AMERICA around the periphery surround a wreath framing the words HALF CENT. The wreath is tied by a bow at the bottom and the denomination of 1/200 at the bottom center.
