Greysheet Catalog Details (GSID: 5501)

The 1905 Twenty five cents is part of a series of Liberty head (Barber) quarter coins struck from 1892-1916. Struck in Philadelphia and designated as a Proof (PR) strike, this coin is made of 90% silver; 10% copper from a mintage of 727 struck.
Obverse: Charles Barber's depiction of Liberty is portrayed facing right with motto IN GOD WE TRUST and 13 stars around the periphery. The date centered at the bottom.
Reverse: An eagle with wings fully spread holding a ribbon in its beak bearing the words E PLURIBUS UNUM. In its talons the bird holds an olive branch and arrows. Stars appear in the field above the eagle and the words UNITED STATES OF AMERICA * QUARTER DOLLAR appear around the periphery.
