First Peek at the the Greysheet Marketplace

A few weeks ago we quietly launch the beta screens of our latest innovation for the greysheet.com web site -- the Greysheet Marketplace. While the "Marketplace" is an old idea that has seen numerous incarnations across other web sites, we believe that our platform is ideally suited as a location for collectors and dealers to most efficiently search for coins and bank notes of interest.

What is the Greysheet Marketplace?

The Greysheet Marketplace features auction and buy-it-now listings from the best names in the numismatic business. Our dealers are well known to top collectors. Names like Heritage Auctions, Stack's Bowers Galleries, Sarasota Rare Coins, David Lawrence, Legend, John Gulde, David Kahn, Elizabeth Coggan, and many more with more companies joining us every day and week during this initial phase.

As of Friday, June 16, we had over 12,000 listings of coins and paper money. Numbers that are growing every week.

Is Greysheet Marketplace better than other multi-listing coin sites?

Absolutely. With over 500,000 monthly visitors, greysheet.com is one of the most popular numismatic web sites devoted to pricing and industry information. For the Marketplace, we've built the best search tools and combined listings with the industry's best pricing and auction data to help you make informed buying decisions. Additionally, we don't interfere with the relationship between buyer and seller. The Marketplace helps you find the coins and paper money of interest to you. The Marketplace does not get involved in any transactions. We simply connect sellers to buyers. If you see an item for sale or auction, click the related link to transact directly with the seller. 

Does it cost anything to use it?

No. The service is FREE for buyers and sellers. 

I'm a dealer. How can I list my inventory on Greysheet Marketplace? 

Only CDN Exchange members can list inventory in the Marketplace. This allows us to properly vet dealers and make sure they conform to the high standards of CDNX membership. Click here to learn more about CDNX and fill out an application.

What's next?

Our first steps involve getting sellers established and learning the process of listing/de-listing inventory to keep the Marketplace fresh. Then we will include listings on our pricing pages and everywhere else on the Greysheet web site that we can match visitors to the site with the inventory they are looking for. We can do this better than any other numismatic web site and we're excited about the infinite possibilities.
