Quick-scan feature taps into census and Heritage price archives on Android and iOS smartphones

DALLAS, Texas (Jan. 24, 2018) – Beginning this week, numismatists may access data on more than 38.2 million coins graded by Professional Coin Grading Service (NASDAQ: CLCT) in an important barcode scanning update to Heritage Auctions’ Mobile App.

The barcode scan also offers instant access to 2.2 million items in Heritage’s coins pricing database, giving collectors a price guide to auction results for comparable coins.

This update complements Heritage’s barcode scan access to coins graded by Numismatic Guaranty Corporation and professionally graded comic books from the hobby’s leading services,” said Jim Halperin, Co-founder of Heritage Auctions. “Collectors can be confident we will continue to seek practical additions to our app whenever possible.”

The smartphone barcode scan serves up a wealth of data, eliminating the need for manual text searches. Auction archives span market prices for U.S. Coins, World Coins and Ancient Coins.

PCGS certifies coins, including ancient coins, from around the globe, including the United States, Japan, Germany, New Zealand, Poland, Switzerland, Great Britain, France, Italy, China, Spain, Greece, Mexico, Russia, Canada, India, Hong Kong, Philippines, Australia, Singapore and numerous African countries.

The free smartphone application also offers free appraisals using your device’s camera, instant lot tracking, one-touch mobile bidding and Face ID and Touch ID sign-in capability. Visit HA.com/App today or download the Heritage Auctions Mobile App via App Stores for Android or iOS.
