It’s no secret that retail giant, Wal-Mart, has been investing very heavily on it’s e-commerce department — waging a full-scale attack on Amazon and eBay. It’s not surprising then to see them enter the numismatic fray as well. Tucked away in their “Jewelry” category (link), you’ll find many modern world issues, proof sets, and other retail-friendly items. Are better date coins next? Makes sense that The retail giant will get into this big time. Now with the third party certification and grading available, the risk of buying counterfeit or Over graded coins is very low. However, to me, it’s a pleasure dealing at a coin shop and COIN shows where like-minded hobbyist And investors mingle and exchange ideas.
