Greysheet: BU SILVER DOLLAR ROLLS, EARLY ROLL BIDS RE-INSTATED...

by CDN Publishing | Published on May 24, 2016

NEW LAYOUTS FOR EAGLES & MODERN COMMEM/GOLD PAGES

In response to extensive reader feedback, we are excited to add BU silver dollar rolls back to the weekly Greysheet, this week and all future editions. They can be found on page 7 with the BU rolls (minor denominations). Also by popular request, we have added back pricing for 1934-1937 rolls. These values had been removed well over a year ago to save space for new issues, but our new layout has allowed us to include them without any sacrifice to any existing values. At the same time, we have taken this opportunity to increase the size and spacing for the Eagle and Modern Commem/Gold issues pages. The latter have moved to page 6 with Modern dollars for a more logical fit, with space available for 2015-16 issues. We hope you like the new pricing additions and look forward to your feedback. We want to hear from you. Please send us email to: editor@greysheet.com.

THIS WEEKS MARKET
Gold Type: Mint state values are mixed with some pluses for scarcer issues in higher grades thanks to increased bidding on CoinPlex.
Silver Dollars: A few higher sight-seen bids are reflected this week in the MS64 and MS67 grades, along with some minor adjustments in Peace dollars.
State Quarter Rolls: Look for new levels on 2010-2014 issues.
Auction Market: Legend Auctions has just concluded their Regency Auction XVII in New Orleans, held in conjunction with a PCGS Members-Only Show on May 19. The highlight of the
sale was a Quintuple Stella which realized $1,880,000 (with 17.5% buyer’s premium).
Stack’s Bowers Galleries will hold their Pogue Collection, Part IV and Rarities Auctions in New York City on May 24-25. Featured items include, but are not limited to the finest known 1804 dollar graded PCGS MS68 and 1822 $5 graded PCGS AU50. The half eagle is the only known example in private hands.
