John Albanese, CAC Founder & President

There are a few experts in numismatics who have virtually seen and done it all. John Albanese is one of those people. He’s been an active player in the industry for more than four decades and founded or helped establish several of the major organizations central to numismatics today, including PCGS, NGC, CAC, and NCA.

CDN Publisher John Feigenbaum recently sat down for a special interview with Albanese, whose deep perspective on the hobby, the coin marketplace, and the rare coin industry provides much enlightenment on many of the issues that matter most. The link for the interview, published on our YouTube channel and here on the CDN Blog, is well worth checking out. Feigenbaum and Albanese cover a wide range of topics, including the impact of CAC on the third-party certification marketplace, consumer advocacy, and thoughts on how to improve the industry.
