Upstate Coin & Gold Welcomes Richard Gonzales as Business Development & Product Manager for Pre-1933 Gold & Silver Dollars

CENTENNIAL, Colorado January 13, 2022 – Upstate Coin & Gold announced today it is further expanding its position in the rare coin industry with the addition of Richard Gonzales to their business development team effective January 10, 2022. Mr. Gonzales is a highly respected industry veteran whose wealth of numismatic experience and his entrepreneurial mindset is well suited to expand Upstate’s presence in this specialty category.

Richard Gonzales began his career right out of high school, working for A-Mark, a west coast precious metals trading company, learning the art of coin grading, coin and bullion pricing, and relationship building. His coin trading journey continued onto Spectrum Numismatics, NTR Metals, Heritage Auctions, and lastly, Stack’s Bowers Galleries, where he held titles that included Director of U.S. Gold Department and Senior Numismatist, to name a few. His work experience is extensive in Pre-1933 U.S. Gold and Silver Dollars, specializing in client development. He is uniquely qualified in wholesale trading, inventory management, client relationship building, and product processing and fulfillment.

Based in Upstate’s new Centennial office, Mr. Gonzales’ responsibilities will be to grow the company’s Pre-33 and Silver Dollar product categories while establishing new accounts, managing inventories, creating a more comprehensive product and program offering and educating UCG’s teams to support and market these categories.
