1852 Gold Dollar. Large-diameter pattern with perforation at the center to enable the same value of gold to be used. All varieties are restrikes, including gold impressions.

USA above perforation. 1852 below. Otherwise blank. A simple, hastily made die to test the concept.
Reverse Description
DOLLAR at top border, open wreath below. A distinctive reverse made especially for this pattern, giving the denomination.
