The 1854 Proof Half Cent is of the Braided Hair design. The original mintage in 1854 was just 30 coins in total of which it is estimated that all have survived from this relatively high mintage. Overall, this is just a very scarce type coin worth anywhere between four thousand to over twenty thousand in red-brown gem condition.
