1865 Dollar. Transitional pattern. A specimen owned by Harry W. Bass, Jr., was struck over an 1853 Liberty Seated silver dollar.
Obverse Description
Regular Liberty Seated die of the year.
Reverse Description
Similar to regular die of the year but with IN GOD WE TRUST on scroll above eagle, as adopted in 1866.
