Barber Head, Liberty facing left, general style used on the $50 pieces of 1877, IN GOD WE TRUST above, seven stars left, six stars right, 1878 below.
Reverse Description
Perched eagle with drooped wings, holding olive branch and arrows. Motto E PLURIBUS UNUM in small Gothic letters curved above eagle. Around border, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA / ONE DOLLAR. No stars on reverse.
