In early September, the U.S. Mint began selling bags and rolls of Semiquincentennial one-dollar coins.
Scarce and underrated variety. Ironcially, the smaller O mintmark, is the one used for the Barber quarter of the same year.
Obverse Description
Charles Barber's depiction of Liberty is portrayed facing right with UNITED STATES OF AMERICA around the periphery and the date centered at the bottom.
Reverse Description
ONE DIME is centered in the middle of the reverse surrounded by a wreath tied by a bow at the bottom. Mint mark, if any, appears below the bow at the bottom.
