Cameo surfaces. The proof 1953 Lincoln cents are relatively common and encountered with frequency in the PR64-PR67 grade range. Series enthusiasts and registry set collectors cluster toward the high-end pieces that exhibit few spots and excellent overall eye appeal. Pieces with strong cameo effects, particularly on both the obverse and reverse command strong premiums.
