The 1943 bronze Lincoln cent, graded Extra Fine by PCGS, was acquired from a family that held it unverified since the early 1960s.
Starting in 1947 the US government initiated a program of marketing special presentation "sets" of the year's coin issues in their business strike (mint state) format.
Obverse Description
10-coin uncirculated set with 3 Lincoln cents, 2 Jefferson nickels, 2 Roosevelt dimes, 2 Washington quarters, and a single (D-mint) Kennedy half dollar. The half dollar is 40% silver which adds value to the set. Total face value of the set is $1.33.
