The Prestige Proof Set program ran inconsistently from 1983 to 1997 with a one or two commemorative coins added to the regular proof sets of the year. 1992 Prestige Proof sets included the clad half dollar and silver dollar minted for that year’s Olympic games. At $56 a set, sales were a disappointing 183,293 units.
