The United States Mint has selected 37 American artists to participate in its Artistic Infusion Program (AIP) to create and submit new designs for coins and medals.
The mintage for the 1905 Indian Cent is 2,152 coins struck. Brown pieces are common along with red-brown; only the finest gems are scarce. Full red gems are scarce as well with the finest ones being very rare. Any grade with a cameo is, at the very least, scarce with high Mint State grades being rare. Attractively toned brown pieces or blazing red surfaces are highly sought after and not too hard to find.
