The 1943 bronze Lincoln cent, graded Extra Fine by PCGS, was acquired from a family that held it unverified since the early 1960s.
Just 12 coins minted by the U.S. Mint, before they changed the design to have the word appear in a mirror finish so it is easier to read. As of October 2025, of these 12, only 3 are reported of the $100 denomination. Two of these 3 coins are certified by NGC.
Obverse Description
The obverse features an obverse portrait by John Mercanti of the Statue of Liberty's head and crown staring right into the viewer.
Reverse Description
Eagle in flight, an olive branch in its talons. Inscriptions are "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "$100," "1 OZ.," and ".9995 PLATINUM."
