The Caja de Conversión series of Argentina in the World Currency contains 171 distinct entries.

Private banks lost the right to issue notes with the establishment of the Caja de Conversión (Conversion Fund, CDC) pursuant to Law 2741 of 7 October 1890 aimed at stabilizing the currency. In October 1891, the Banco de la Nación Argentina (Bank of the Argentine Nation) was created as a state bank, but issuance remained in the hands of the Caja de Conversión.
