Banknote Book® Price Guide

The Greysheet Catalog (GSID) of the Banque d’Emission du Rwanda et du Burundi series of Rwanda and Burundi in the World Currency contains 40 distinct entries with CPG® values between $20.00 and $7,500.00.

The Banque d’Emission du Rwanda et du Burundi (Issuing Bank of Rwanda and Burundi, BERB) was established in 1960 and began issuing notes for the Belgian mandate territory of Ruanda-Urundi (modern-day Rwanda and Burundi). The Rwanda and Burundi franc replaced the Belgian Congo franc which had been in circulation since 1916, when it replaced the German East African rupie.
