About 1880-CC GSA Hoard $1 Reverse of 1878, Hard package

The 1880-CC Morgan dollar saw a relatively large sum of pieces offered in the GSA sale ? almost 25% of the original mintage, or 131,529 out of 591,000 struck. These are found in either hard packs or soft packs, though because such a large number were originally distributed in the GSA sales are not as rare to find in original government packaging as, for example, the 1879-CC or 1890-CC GSA Morgan dollars. Difficult as with all GSA Morgan dollars are PLs and DMPLs, which are rare.
