Featured Greysheet Pricing for March: PHILIPPINE 10 CENTAVOS
In an effort to bring awareness to the vast amount of unprinted pricing we have online, every month Greysheet will include pricing for a series of coins not regularly published.
This month’s featured pricing consists of U.S Philippines silver Ten Centavos. This series can be considered overlooked in comparison to some of the higher silver coin denominations, and there seems to be room for price appreciation relative to scarcity. The overall key date of the series in the 1915-S, followed by the 1914-S, 1910-S, and 1909-S. The top two varieties in the series are the 1914-S “Long Bar” and the 1945-D/D over mintmark.
In high grades, it is very interesting to note that PCGS has only graded 47 total coins at the MS67 grade level, with NGC grading even fewer than that. This indicates that there are potentially numerous coins out in the wild yet to be certified in top grades and also that this type is an underrated condition rarity.
