GREYSHEET: CDN EXPANDS PRICING DATABASE ON IMPENDING APP RELEASE

by CDN Publishing | Published on October 11, 2017

The rare coin convention circuit is on an early autumn break, not be awoken again until the Whitman Baltimore Winter Expo on November 9th through the 11th. One area of potential excitement for both dealers and collectors in the interim is the sale of the 9th part of the epochal Eric P. Newman Collection. To be sold by Heritage on November 1st through the 3rd, the sale features 440 lots. 200 of the lots are Colonials, an area Newman has spent significant time studying, researching, and writing about. The clear standout pieces are the rare offering of both an original Confederate cent and one of the four original Confederate half dollars. Both of these incredibly historic pieces are making their first public auction appearance. There are a number of appealing and original type coins, including yet another beautifully toned 1796 quarter, this one graded NGC/CAC MS64+.

THOUSANDS OF NEW VALUES ADDED TO WEB SITE

Here at CDN, we have been busy adding a bundle of additional pricing to our online price guide. We feel that it is important for us to remind subscribers to continually check the price guide using the dedicated address www.coinprices.com. Virtually all of these new pries will not appear in the printed sheets because of space limitations. Many of the most-requested pricing additions from the past, such as MS61 and MS62 Morgan and Peace dollars, AU58 for many early types in the Bust and Seated denominations, and XF45 can be found. We are also in the process of adding pricing for higher grade modern (post-1964) coinage. Some of this which has already been added include Washington quarters and Lincoln cents.

CDN APP NOW AVAILABLE IN GOOGLE PLAY STORE

We are also very excited to announce that our CDN Pricing mobile application is live. Android users can download this free app from the Google Play store by searching for “CDN coin & currency pricing.” The iOS version has been submitted to Apple will be available in iTunes store as soon as it is approved. The following features are available for all users to download the app: Collector’s Price guide (CPG) coin and currency pricing; live precious metals spot prices; auction prices realized for United States coins; and access to the CDN blog where all articles are posted. Additionally, subscribers who login (using the same login credentials that are used on the website) gain access to all Greysheet pricings. Also, those that have active Bluesheet and Greensheet subscriptions will have access to those prices as well. The app has been designed for speed and efficiency, and the individual coin screen gives the user a quick look at CPG, Greysheet, and Bluesheet (where applicable) prices all in line. Coins can be searched in a variety of ways: text search; using drop-down menus, and by catalog number. We look forward to user feedback.
