Chester Krause (1913-2016), founder of Numismatic News dies at 93

Chester Krause of Iola, WI, passed away on the evening of Saturday June 25, 2016, at the age of 93. Better known by hobbyists and friends as “Chet”, he was the founder of Numismatic News and Krause Publications, and his career made an indelible impact on the rare coin field for many decades.
