About This Series

The Danske Bank series of Northern Ireland in the World Currency contains 10 distinct entries.
In 1965, the Midland Bank Group took over the Northern Bank Limited, which was merged with the Belfast Banking Company in 1970, but continued to operated under the Northern name. In August 1987, Midland sold Northern to the National Bank of Australia, who subsequently sold it in 2005 to Den Danske Bank of Denmark.
