The China Specie Bank series of China Foreign Banks in the World Currency contains 13 distinct entries.
The China Specie Bank Ltd (CSB) was an American venture, jointly funded by overseas and domestic Chinese businessmen, with its headquarters established in 1920 in Hong Kong. It subsequently opened a Shanghai office in May 1921. The bank collapsed before its notes could enter circulation and only specimen and proof notes are known.
